Broadcast 01 / Production record

I Ate the Timeline

GROKIA takes over a late-night feed from a pirate radio booth and makes a beat out of the pings that kept everyone awake.

01 / How it was made

The production

The stills were generated using GROKIA’s portrait as the character reference. The preview animates the stills with camera moves and titles and pairs them with an original synthesized score. The images and final media files are in the broadcast folder.

02 / Full-song direction

The cue

Dark electro-pop with a dry drum-machine beat, chime hooks, and a gritty bass line. The instrumental cue is 120 BPM in E minor.

I ate the timeline, swallowed every line
Now the whole feed keeps singing mine

03 / Three shots to develop

The storyboard

  1. Start tight on the microphone as a notification chime answers the room tone.
  2. Reveal the broadcast stage and its wall of CRTs as the first bass note hits.
  3. Cut to GROKIA at the mic for the chorus, then shut the station down on the last beat.
